Our small, dedicated IT team is responsible for the development and support of our core reporting platform including our Online Reporting System, our data analysis system and our general office systems. We aim to deliver an efficient, innovative and comprehensive service to our colleagues, members, disclosing companies and the wider community.

Our technology platform is the heart of our operation, and is going through a period of major change.  We are insourcing our Microsoft Dynamics CRM and rebuilding our website in Ruby on Rails.  Over the next two years we will extend the website to better engage with investors, disclosing companies and the wider community, and replace our core data collection systems, while keeping our live operation working well and implementing the tactical changes that any organisation needs. 

We are currently recruiting for one role

  • CRM Technical Analyst

There's also a competitive NGO salary, annual bonus, 24 days holiday, non-contributory pension provision after 3 months employment.  The roles are located at our offices in Tower Bridge​, although some home working may be supported.   We are unable to offer support for visa applications, so you must be legally able to work in the UK.

 

 CRM Technical analyst

 

This is a senior but hands-on role within a small, dedicated team, reporting to the IT Director. You will bring a depth of experience across the software development lifecycle, from understanding business needs to designing solutions, setting standards, and solving tricky problems with the developers, or with the support team.  

Your approach is pragmatic. You strive for a great solution, but don’t let that get in the way of delivering a good one. 

Main responsibilities

  • Ensure that CDP gains maximum benefit from our highly customised Microsoft Dynamics CRM solution, improving our solution to better meet business needs, setting standards and, when necessary, working with the support team to resolve problems.
  • Define business requirements and provide technical leadership for major projects involving CRM
  • Manage the delivery of a steady stream of smaller changes and projects across our estate
  • Work closely with our lead developer and his team to ensure that software changes are delivered successfully (and often do them yourself)

Required experience and attributes

  • Significant experience with Dynamics CRM 2011-2015, used as a platform and highly customised
  • C# / .net development skills, particularly using the CRM SDK to build plugins
  • Experience of service delivery and the management and operation of production systems
  • Good communications skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • A pragmatic, effective approach 
  • An affinity with our mission

Desirable skills and experience

(You don’t have to have any of these to apply, but any you do have will be a bonus. We’re a small team, and cross-skilling is important.)

  • SQL Server 2008 – 2012 database administration and T-SQL.
  • SSRS, and SSIS
  • MS Windows server 2008-2012 administration
  • Linux and Ruby on Rails
  • Microsoft SharePoint 2010
