Paul Dickinson
Executive Chairman

Paul founded CDP in 2000 with an ambition of creating a global economic system that operates within sustainable environmental boundaries and prevents dangerous climate change. Paul previously founded Rufus Leonard Corporate Communications and EyeNetwork, the largest videoconference service in Europe. He served as a member of the Environmental Research Group of the UK Faculty and Institute of Actuaries. Paul has authored various publications, including Beautiful Corporations.


Paul Simpson
Chief Executive Officer

Paul has been at the forefront of CDP's expansion since its inception in 2000 and has led CDP from a climate specific focus into other environmental areas. He previously worked with Chesham Amalgamations & Investments Ltd, the International Society for Ecology & Culture and is a former director of the Social Venture Network. Paul sits on the advisory panel of Guardian Sustainable Business and the Global Stranded Assets Advisory Council for the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment at Oxford University.


Frances Way
Co-Chief Operating Officer, Programs

Frances oversees the delivery of CDP’s programs. Having spent eight years in the private finance sector, primarily at Dresdner Kleinwort's Global Equities Division, Frances joined CDP in 2007 to manage and expand the supply chain program. Frances sits on the board of EIRIS, an ethical investment organization. She holds an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College.


Sue Howells
Co-Chief Operating Officer, Global Operations

Sue has run CDP's global operations since 2005. She has 20 years’ worth of experience in the financial sector, primarily with Rothschild Asset Management in the UK and Hong Kong. Sue has also headed a project at WWF advising on NGO engagement with business and industry. Sue holds an MSc in Responsibility and Business Practice from Bath University.

Tom Carnac 

Lance Pierce
President, North America

Lance is President of CDP North America and has responsibility for strategy and delivery across the range of CDP programs in the United States and Canada. Based New York. Lance joined CDP from Ceres where he was executive director and chief operating officer. Prior to this he was the director of the climate and energy program for the Union of Concerned Scientists, and a former consultant to global companies, UN agencies, and international development organisations.

Steven M. Tebbe 

Steven M. Tebbe (FRGS)
Managing Director, Europe

Steven leads all CDP activities in Europe. Previously, he held various senior management positions at Daimler, EADSAirbus and most recently served as the Vice President for Environmental Affairs at the Berkshire Hathaway subsidiary NetJets, as well as being a Partner at Antural Partners, a boutique sustainability-consulting firm. Steven holds a Masters degree in Public Administration from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts as well as a Masters degree from the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management in Belgium. He is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society (FRGS) and a member of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS).

Nigel Topping 

Marcus Norton
Chief Partnerships Officer

Marcus manages CDP’s partnerships and fundraising activities. He joined in 2009 to launch CDP’s water program and has also led on investor engagement. Marcus previously practiced law, including with Allen & Overy and the UK Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs. He holds an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, an LL.M from University College London and an MA from the University of St. Andrews.


Simon Barker
Chief Financial Officer

Simon joined CDP in 2015. A qualified chartered accountant and former partner at KPMG his experience includes auditing and advising a number of international corporations on financial accounting, disclosures, internal controls, fundraising and acquisitions and disposals. Most recently he has advised start-up companies in the food and drink sector.

Conor Riffle
Director, Cities and Data Product Innovation

Conor helped to launch CDP’s cities program and now oversees both this and the development and commercialization of CDP’s data products. Prior to CDP, Conor helped to grow what would become Carbon Tracker. From 2004 – 2007, he worked in various roles at the Clinton Foundation. Conor holds a BA from Connecticut College and an MA from the London School of Economics.


Maia Kutner
Head of CDP's cities program

Maia joined CDP’s cities team as head of program in January 2016. Prior to this she was the Director of Technical Reporting responsible for overseeing the development of CDP’s company questionnaires on climate change, water and forests. Maia’s previous experience is in policy and social entrepreneurship. She holds a BA in Economics, Political Science and Philosophy from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and an MSc in Environmental Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science.


Katie McCoy
Head of CDP's forests program

Katie is dedicated to removing commodity-driven deforestation in company supply chains. She joined CDP in 2013, following the transfer of the Global Canopy Programme’s Forest Footprint Disclosure (FFD) project to CDP. Katie has previously worked as a Policy Analyst for an environmental research organization and as a microbiologist for GlaxoSmithKline. Katie has an MSc in Conservation Science from Imperial College London and a BSc in Biological Sciences from the University of Birmingham.


Cate Lamb
Head of CDP's water program

Cate’s role involves working with key stakeholders to deliver significant changes in the corporate management of water. Cate has ten years of experience in the environmental and sustainable development fields and has a strong technical, scientific and project management background. Cate holds a BSc in Environmental Science from Lancaster University.


James Hulse
Head of Investor Initiatives

James oversees CDP’s work with investors. He joined CDP in 2013 following the transfer of the Global Canopy Programme’s Forest Footprint Disclosure (FFD) project, of which he was the director, to CDP. James has nearly 20 years of experience working in the City, including as a trader and hedge fund manager. He established and ran the first climate change hedge fund. James has a BA from Oxford University and an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College.


Kate Levick
Director of Policy and Regulation

Kate manages CDP’s relationships with governments. She previously worked at the UK Government Office of Climate Change and at BP Plc on carbon credits and strategy in relation to emerging markets. Kate is a trustee of Forum for the Future. She has an MProf in Leadership for Sustainable Development with Forum for the Future and a BA (Hons) from Oxford University.


Dexter Galvin
Head of CDP's supply chain program

Dexter runs CDP’s program to enable major multinationals and governments to achieve sustainable supply chains, influencing over US$2 trillion in annual procurement spend. Dexter's supply chain experience is extensive having worked in time-critical logistics prior to joining CDP in 2008. Passionate about harmonizing reporting standards, he has lead on driving standardization in environmental reporting. In 2013 he launched a major new initiative called Action Exchange to accelerate emissions reductions in corporate supply chains.


Daniel Turner
Head of Disclosure

Daniel is responsible for CDP’s engagement with responding companies and works with CDP’s strategic partners to develop and deliver support services for disclosing companies. Daniel was previously a journalist before joining CDP in 2003. He has a BSc in Sociology from City University, London.

Diana Guzman 

Diana Guzmán
Director, Southern Europe

Diana joined CDP in 2010 as country director for Italy, Spain, Portugal and Greece. She is responsible for all CDP activities in the Southern Europe region and has extensive experience in carbon management and compliance. Diana spent three years in China working on the origination and commercialization of carbon credits, specifically from Clean Development Mechanism and Voluntary Emission Reduction projects. She has also worked in forex trading in Mexico, venture capital in Washington, DC. and business development in the insurance sector in Hong Kong.

Mirjam Wolfrum 

Mirjam Wolfrum
Director, Policy and Reporting, Europe

Mirjam works on European policy related activities and projects. Before joining CDP she was policy and business information consultant for companies of the green economy. As head of the information department of the Goethe Institute in Brussels she managed European projects and was in charge of liaison with the EU. Mirjam holds a Master's degree in Information Management and did postgraduate studies of Journalism.

Susan Dreyer 

Susan Dreyer
Director, DACH region

Susan holds a master degree in economics and has an extensive background in the banking and asset management sector. After working for Deutsche Bank on corporate credit, she followed a career as an equity fund manager for 8 years with DWS, Germany’s largest retail asset manager. She was responsible for German and European equity funds and won the Lipper Fund Award twice for her performance. Susan has co-lead working groups on non-financial reporting and brings the investor perspective into CDP’s work. She is also the author of a prize-winning German bestseller on behavioral finance and ethical investing.

Daman Singh 

Damandeep Singh
Director, India

Daman has worked for over two decades writing and researching on environment and development issues in India. He worked as an independent consultant and journalist primarily on environment and climate change issues working with ERM UK, Worldwatch Institute, The Climate Group, Bureau of Energy Efficiency and Suzlon Energy. Prior to that he was heading Research and Programme Missions Divisions of the National Geographic Channel for five years.

Laurent Babikian 

Laurent Babikian
Director, France, Benelux and Monaco

Laurent started his career in 1991 working with Bank Indosuez for 10 years. In 2000, he co-founded a start-up incubator and coached entrepreneurs to accelerate their businesses before creating his own consultancy company for which he moved to Brazil in 2007.When he was living in Brazil, he became one of the 300 mentors of the NGO Endeavor, which is an international NGO aimed at developing sustainable entrepreneurship in emerging countries. Laurent graduated from the IESE Business School in Barcelona, holding an Executive MBA in general management. He also holds a Masters degree in Economics from the University of Paris Dauphine.

Juliana Lopes 

Juliana Lopes
Director, Latin America

Juliana holds a bachelor´s degree in Journalism and an MBA in Marketing. As CDP's Director for Latin America, Juliana is leading the expansion of CDP project-lines over the region. Her previous experience in the corporate communication and sustainability field has included work for companies such as BASF and Bridgestone-Firestone, consultancy and management of a Corporate Social Responsibility publication.

James Day 

James Day
Director, Australia & New Zealand

James holds an MBA in Strategic Carbon Management from UEA, and a BA (Politics) from Macquarie University. He previously worked as an online consultant and programme manager for over 8 years - where his clients included Microsoft and Diageo in the UK, and numerous government agencies and NGOs in Australia - and in public policy advocacy at Oxfam Australia for 3 years.

Michiyo Morisawa 

Michiyo Morisawa
Director, Japan

Dr Michiyo Morisawa has specialized in the international business development of financial services companies including Citibank and FXNET. She works part-time leading PRI signatory network in Japan. She holds a PhD in environmental studies from the University of Tokyo.

Pedro Faria
Technical Director

Pedro oversees the development of CDP’s disclosure platform, scoring systems and data. Pedro previously worked as a consultant in the areas of energy and carbon, as well as on the implementation of the European Emissions Trading Scheme. He is a Civil and Environmental Engineer and holds an MSc in Engineering and Management of Technology from the Technical University of Lisbon.


Catherine Sturgess
Director of Development

Catherine leads CDP’s philanthropic funding strategy. Catherine is a highly successful fundraiser with twenty years experience. She joined CDP in 2011 from the International HIV/AIDS Alliance where she oversaw a US$ multi – million government funding portfolio. She has lived and worked in East Africa. Since joining CDP, Catherine has transformed the organisations approach and success at securing philanthropic funding.


Lisa Lee
Joint Communications Director

Lisa works on global communications strategy and activities for CDP, including brand strategy, media relations, web and digital communications. Prior to joining CDP, Lisa spent over ten years working with PR agencies and as a freelancer to develop and implement corporate and B2B PR programs. Lisa has a BA (Hons) in History, a CAM Diploma in Marketing Communications and is a qualified coach.


Penny Cross
Joint Communications Director

Penny works on global communications strategy and activities for CDP, leading on investor-related campaigns. Prior to joining CDP in 2012, Penny worked for more than 15 years in financial, corporate and investor communications, including at leading international financial communications agency, Citigate Dewe Rogerson. She holds a BA in French and German. She is fluent in both languages and also speaks Spanish.


Cathryn Symons
IT Director

Cathryn is responsible for all technology used within CDP. She has held a variety of IT roles in major corporations including Tui Travel plc and Unisys Ltd, and as freelance project manager delivering major IT programmes. She holds a BSc in Mathematics from Victoria University of Wellington, and an MSc in Renewable Energy from the Centre for Alternative Technology.
