Paul Dickinson, Chief Executive Officer

Founded CDP in 2000 having previously founded and developed Rufus Leonard Corporate Communications and, more recently, EyeNetwork, the largest videoconference service in Europe. Member of the Environmental Research Group of the UK Faculty and Institute of Actuaries. Author of various publications including 'Beautiful Corporations'.

Paul Simpson, Chief Operating Officer

At the forefront of CDP’s expansion since its inception in 2000. Previously worked with Chesham Amalgamations & Investments Ltd, the largest independent M&A broker in the UK and for the International Society for Ecology & Culture. Board member of Ethical Investment Research Service (EIRIS) and former Director of the Social Venture Network.

Roy Wilson, Chief Finance Officer

Roy qualified as an accountant in 1969, achieving honours in the Accounting Body examinations. During his varied career he has held Finance Directorships in the retail, food processing and recruitment sectors and has established and sold a successful internet-based warehousing and distribution business. His time in advertising and marketing included four years as UK Chief Financial Officer of Grey Communications Group. Roy joined CDP in August 2007.

Viktor Andersson, Investor Relations Manager

Before joining CDP in November 2008, Viktor spent seven years with ABN AMRO Group, where he worked as Senior Analyst for Group Sustainability conducting thematic research on areas such as Banks and Climate Risks. Previous to that he worked with Responsible Investments for ABN AMRO Asset Management, setting up the first Indian SRI fund worldwide. He studied Financial Economics and Econometrics at Uppsala University, Sweden, and is an officer in the Swedish Airforce, current grade 1st lieutenant.

Alicia Ayars, Project Officer

Alicia, who joined CDP in 2007, is responsible for overseeing company responses, supporting report writing, compilation of the questionnaire and managing CDP’s operations in the Netherlands. Prior to working with CDP she worked with Marine Biological Labs and the US National Forest Service, within Mount Holyoke College GeoProcessing. Also employed as an outside consultant with UNESCAP in early 2007, she holds an AB in Environmental Science from Mount Holyoke College and an MSc in Anthropology and Development from the London School of Economics.

Marieke Beckmann, Officer, Communications and Corporate Partnerships

Marieke joined CDP in February 2008. She works on CDP communications and liaises with various organisations, particularly CDP’s corporate partners. Prior to joining CDP she worked with the Asian Institute of Technology on water and aquatic resources management in the northeast of Thailand and holds an MSc Environmental Technology from Imperial College London, where she specialised in global environmental change and policy.

Patrick Crawford, Supply Chain Project Manager

Patrick, the former Head of Business Development at the Telegraph Group, initially worked as a volunteer for CDP where he is now focused on the development of the Supply Chain Project. He holds an MBA from London Business School and an MSc in Responsibility and Business Practice from Bath University.

     Matt Greenbaum, Development Officer

Matt spent more than a decade as an educator and curriculum designer at scientific institutions such as the Liberty Science Center and the American Museum of Natural History. Extensively researched and taught about ecological as well as evolutionary sciences and performed on-site field research of endangered wildlife. He holds an M.A. in Conservation Biology from Columbia University and a B.A. in Environmental Science and Public Policy from Harvard University.

Lois Guthrie, Technical Director

Prior to joining CDP, Lois followed a career in finance at PwC and lately at Zurich Financial Services as Head of Employment Tax. She advised large companies and government departments on areas of policy including taxation and international social security. She studied environmental policy at the Open University and holds an MSc in Responsibility and Business Practice. Lois joined CDP in 2004 as a volunteer and developed the role of Technical Director to which she was appointed in June 2007. Lois acts as Secretariat to the Climate Disclosure Standards Board.

Jenni Hagland, Client Services

Jenni joined CDP in November 2007 having spent more than five years in the finance sector, primarily with Merrill Lynch’s wealth management operations in both New York and London. Jenni holds a BA in English Literature from the University of Wisconsin.

Amanda Haworth-Wiklund, Nordic Director

Amanda established an office for CDP in Stockholm in 2006 to expand the CDP process into the Nordic region. She was previously Secretary General of Social Venture Network (SVN) Sweden and is a former Director of Social Venture Network Europe where she was Chair for two years. Amanda is also a Trustee of Ekobanken, the Swedish ethical bank, and Member of the Advisory Committee, Green Business Management at the School of Business, Algonquin College, Ottawa, Canada.

Kirstin Hill, Project Officer

Kirstin is a member of the Supply Chain team. Her experience is primarily in Customer Service and her principal role is to support suppliers. She is a former resident of Australia where she worked for Greenpeace Australia Pacific and completed a BA in Environmental Studies and Politics & International Relations.

Sue Howells, Head of Global Operations

Sue has run CDP's global partnerships since 2005. She previously worked in the financial sector for 20 years, primarily with Rothchild Asset Management in the UK and Hong Kong. She headed a project at WWF advising on NGO engagement with business and industry and has also completed a Masters in Responsibility and Business Practice at Bath University.

Tim Keenan, Vice President

Tim's background encompasses extensive experience as an NHS strategic commissioner and as an operational manager in a London teaching hospital. Prior to joining CDP he was Environment Programme Director of one of the UK’s largest charitable grantmakers. Tim specialises in applying industry based solutions to environmental issues and, to this end, he also works with Oceana, the international marine conservation organisation.

Joanna Lee, Director of Communications and Corporate Partnerships

Joanna runs communications and corporate partnerships at CDP. She was formerly a TV Producer and Director working on Channel 4 News, the BBC Money Programme, Panorama and a range of documentaries. Prior to that she worked as a journalist in Paris for three years, writing for The Independent and Agence France Presse.

Kate Levick, Head of Government Partnerships

Kate joined CDP in May 2008 to manage relationships with governments. She previously worked at the UK Government Office of Climate Change and at BP Plc on carbon credits and strategy in relation to emerging markets. Kate has an MProf in Leadership for Sustainable Development with Forum for the Future and a BA (Hons) from Oxford University.

Michiyo Morisawa, Director CDP Japan

Dr Michiyo Morisawa has specialised in the international business development of financial services companies including Citibank and FXNET. She has an MBA from Waseda University and recently completed her PhD in environmental studies at the University of Tokyo.

Zoe Riddell, Vice President - USA

Zoe, previously based in London, oversees CDP's operations in the US. Before she joined CDP full time in June 2004, Zoe was Business Coordinator for Daimaru Incorporated, where she researched UK economic and retail trends for the corporation’s Head Office in Japan. Prior to this, Zoe participated in a one-year contract with the Japanese Government's Japan Exchange & Teaching programme in Hiroshima. She is a former Sales Manager at Money Marketing Magazine and at Rhinegold Publishing.

Tom Rivett-Carnac, Cities and Public Sector Supply Chain Projects

Tom works with the Public Sector on the Supply Chain Project and through the Cities project. Tom is responsible for working with governments, government agencies, local authorities and Cities to inform understanding of carbon management in the public sector. Prior to joining CDP he worked at CarbonSense, a UK based climate change consultancy, and various NGOs associated with climate change.

Andrea Smith, Technical Manager

Prior to joining CDP, Andrea worked for a Member of the European Parliament who sat on the Environment Committee. She began writing about sustainability 15 years ago since when she has had seven books published together with numerous articles. Her last major freelance project was a report into Information and Communication Technologies and Sustainability for the Society of Information Technology Managers.

Leah Stern, Project Officer

Leah, formerly with the New York based Women’s Environment and Development Organization (WEDO) which she represented at the UN Climate Change Conference in Bali in December 2007, joined CDP in April 2008. She holds a BA in International Affairs from The George Washington University and an MA in Sustainable International Development from Brandeis University.

Pete Stupple, Central Services Officer

Before joining CDP, Pete spent three years at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, primarily in the Secretary of State’s office and the Communications Directorate where he specialised in climate change and recycling issues. As Central Services Officer, he focuses on accounting and procurement.

Nigel Topping, Development Director

Nigel launched CDP’s Supply Chain programme and is now responsible for all new programmes and major development projects.
He worked for Lucas Industries for seven years as a manufacturing systems consultant before moving into operations and, subsequently, into general management for BBA plc. Before joining CDP Nigel was a member of the MBO team and a Board member of TMD Friction, a global automotive component manufacturing company, where he held the position of Group Supply Chain Director. Nigel has extensive international experience, having worked in Spain, Germany, India, China, the US and the UK. He holds an MA in Mathematics from Cambridge University and recently completed his MSc at Schumacher College, where he studied climate science and the industrial response to global warming.

Daniel Turner, Project Manager

An experienced freelance journalist, Daniel Turner joined CDP in 2003. His role as Project Manager for CDP includes liaising with signatory investors and responding companies, working on the development and management of the CDP website and database, production of the CDP Reports and organising launch events. He has a BSc in Sociology from City University, London.

Frances Way, Head of Supply Chain

Frances joined CDP in December 2007 to manage and expand the Supply Chain Project. She spent eight years in the finance sector, primarily in Dresdner Kleinwort’s Global Equities Division where she was responsible for communications between the European research and sales teams. Frances has an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College.
