Signatory Investors

Institutional investors (banks, pension funds, insurance companies, etc) who sign CDP’s Information Requests are known as ‘Signatory Investors’. CDP currently has 475 Signatory Investors, including global investment/finance houses such as Banco do Brasil, Barclays, HSBC, Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc, Mitsubishi UFJ, Morgan Stanley, National Australia Bank, Nedbank and Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group. Signatory Investors have access to all CDP responses, including those that are not made publicly available. There is currently no charge to become a Signatory Investor and all Signatories enjoy free access to more than 4,500 corporate responses from CDP’s complete series (2002 to 2008) of Information Requests. This primary data, stored on CDP’s website, includes responses that are not made publicly available.

In 2007 CDP’s US office interviewed 14 US based Signatory Investors regarding their respective use of CDP data. The findings from this exercise, which is being repeated on a global scale in 2008 with global investors, can be downloaded here.
