Folksam - invest in the future

Folksam is a mutual company specializing in insurance and financial services in Sweden. Folksam is one of Swedens largest investors with total assets of approximately SEK 190 billions.

Folksam's vision states: We work for a long-term sustainable society in which the individual feels secure. Insurance and saving contribute to the security we all need, and are therefore an important part of a compassionate society. However, being able to live in a compassionate society - in the social, cultural and economic sense - can never be taken for granted. Folksam and our subsidarie KPA Pension are members of The UN iniciatives Global Compact, UNEP-FI and we support the Principles for Responsible Investments. Being a signatory of CDP has been a natural step for Folksam and has participated since CDP2. Climate change is global - but reality is still always local. CDP covering the Nordic region is therefore a progress we has looked forward to. Folksam is also going to use the database as a ground for our yearly ranking of listed companies in Sweden the "Folksam Climate Index 2007".

Kommunal Landspensjonskasse (KLP) is a mutually-owned company specializing in insurance and financial services for the public sector in Norway. KLP is one of Norway's largest institutional investors with approximately 185 billion Norwegian Crowns in assets under management.

KLP is KLP Insurance Group's parent company. Today, KLP is one of the leading insurance companies in Norway. The Group's main activities are providing defined-benefit pensions schemes for municipalities and healthcare enterprises, as well as for other independent businesses associated with the public sector. The KLP Group also holds a leading position in the provision of non-life insurance for the municipal sector. In addition, it provides loans and asset management services to that sector.
