ATP is a statutory pension fund covering 4.5 million members - virtually the entire adult population in Denmark. Together with the Tax-financed basic pension, ATP provides basic income security in old age for the Danish population.

ATP was established as an independent entity in 1964 and has since developed to become the largest pension fund in Denmark.

ATP pensions are life-long with profit annuities. Members accrue pension rights based on a collective insurance-based defined contribution model. Pension rights are guaranteed promises.

The ATP Group assets amounted to approximately DKK 444 billion at year-end 2007. ATP invests in a wide variety of assets. Investment categories are broadly: Equities, Interest, Credit, Inflation and Commodities. ATP Group invests both in domestic and foreign assets.

In its investment practice ATP demonstrates a long standing commitment to codes on corporate governance as well as corporate social responsibility.

ATP is striving to increase awareness in both financial investors as well as companies as to economic risks and opportunities related to climate change.

KPA Pension

KPA Pension is a pensions company that assumes active social responsibility by working in the interests of a sustainable future. In this respect we are unique, being the only pensions company to offer ethical investments. We have found that taking responsibility for people and the environment does not in any way conflict with a sound financial policy.

KPA Pension is 60% owned by Folksam and 40% by the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions. This latter is divided between the Swedish Association of Local Authorities (27.2%) and the Federation of Swedish County Councils (12.8%).

Kommunal Landspensjonskasse (KLP) is a mutually-owned company specializing in insurance and financial services for the public sector in Norway. KLP is one of Norway's largest institutional investors with approximately 185 billion Norwegian Crowns in assets under management.

KLP is KLP Insurance Group's parent company. Today, KLP is one of the leading insurance companies in Norway. The Group's main activities are providing defined-benefit pensions schemes for municipalities and healthcare enterprises, as well as for other independent businesses associated with the public sector. The KLP Group also holds a leading position in the provision of non-life insurance for the municipal sector. In addition, it provides loans and asset management services to that sector.

KLP has a rich tradition of responsible investing and ownership. As such we see this project as a great opportunity for us to involve in the battle against green house gas emission. KLP believe the investment community can play an important role, by encouraging reporting and engaging with companies.

Nutek contributes to the creation of new enterprises, more growing enterprises and more strong regions - and consequently to promoting sustainable economic growth and prosperity throughout Sweden.

Economic growth is sustainable when the value of production and services increases in such a way that the needs of the present-day generation can be met, economically, ecologically and socially. At the same time, the necessary conditions must be provided for future generations to be able to meet their own needs.

There is a need for constant development and renewal if Swedish enterprises and regions are to grow in a sustainable way. Nutek supports industry and commerce and the regions in this endeavour.
