The Carbon Disclosure Project and the Greenhouse Gas Management Institute (GHGMI) have developed an online training package to help with the completion of the CDP6 information request. The package includes two online courses. The first course, called "Carbon Disclosure Project: How to Respond to CDP6", was developed by CDP and GHGMI staff and faculty. The accompanying course called, "Basics of Organizational GHG Accounting", was developed in partnership with the GHG Protocol Team at the World Resources Institute. Together the courses enable corporations to respond to all of the information requests in CDP6.
The courses are now open for registration. The fee for the training package is US$1,750. Seats are limited and offered on a first come, first served basis. For those who have completed the Basics of Organizational GHG Accounting course, the fee for the CDP course is US$750. To enrol, click here or visit www.ghginstitute.org.

###The GHG Management Institute is a nonprofit founded by the GHG Experts Network, ClimateCHECK, and Govida eLearning, in partnership with World Resources Institute, Carbon Disclosure Project. Our mission is to train and develop a community of experts with the highest standards of professional practice in measuring, accounting, and managing greenhouse gas emissions. The GHG Management Institute is training tomorrow's experts how to manage and credibly account GHG emissions. This involves training individuals in the basics of GHG management and accounting, as well as training and accrediting professionals who meet the highest standards of expertise and ethical conduct.
The Greenhouse Gas Management Institute is policy neutral. We do not promote any specific protocol, standard or program. Our courses cover all relevant protocols, standards, programs, and guidelines.
We believe that it is vital that the population of professionals with the expertise to address GHG emissions is globally widespread. Climate change is a problem that requires a global solution. We offer financial assistance to other non-profits world wide, and to public agencies, and small and medium-sized enterprises in developing countries. We welcome grants, sponsorships, and contributions to further this mission and offer more scholarships. We are collaborating with other organizations in various regions of the world to provide training in other languages and in ways that address local conditions.
The Institute offers its courses primarily online through e-learning. It can also blend online learning with face-to-face workshops for larger groups with specific needs. E-learning gives participants a higher quality training experience, access to the world’s top experts, the flexibility to undergo training on your own time, and without the cost, trouble, and GHG emissions associated with travelling to workshops.
Management - The Dean of the Institute is Michael Gillenwater, founder of the GHG Experts Network, and co-author of the US EPA and the IPCC GHG guidelines. The Managing Director is Gao Pronove, former Coordinator of CC:Train and Executive Director of the Earth Council Geneva. Tom Baumann, co-founder and CEO of ClimateCHECK, is the Director of Professional Programs.
