CDP has held a series of workshops in different countries, primarily as an open forum for responding companies to share their experiences of completing the CDP information request, to enable discussion of best practise and reporting methods and to gather valuable feedback on the CDP process.
On March 4th, 2008, CDP held its second annual workshop in the USA on Best Practice in Climate Disclosure. The workshop was an opportunity for S&P500 company representatives to get first-hand guidance on providing a good response; technical advice; a chance to network with other S&P500 company representatives responsible for filling in CDP and a place to share best practice in reporting.
Over 100 company representatives attended and the agenda for the meeting can be downloaded here. RiskMetrics Group are currently writing a summary report of the meeting, which will be available in the summer of 2008
This workshop was held at the offices of Fortum on 2 April 2008. There were 26 attendees in person with a further 14 joining by tele-conference. This workshop was held on 11 April 2008. There were 30 attendees and a panel of 3 experts. A presentation was given by the German Report writer Alexander Bassen which can be downloaded below.
This workshop was held at Fortis Headquarters in Utrecht on 17 April, 2008 from 9am until noon. Five presentations were given by experts covering corporate responses to climate change, how to address reporting, and a variety of other subjects.
