At the forefront of CDP expansion since its inception in 2000. Previously worked with Chesham Amalgamations and Investments Ltd, the largest independent M&A broker in the UK and for the International Society for Ecology & Culture. Board Member of Ethical Investment Research Service (EIRIS) and Former Director of the Social Venture Network.
Alicia began working at CDP as in April 2007. She is responsible for overseeing company responses, supporting report writing, and the questionnaire compilation process. She previously worked on project development alongside the creation of GIS working equations for various fuel load scenarios in conjunction with Marine Biological Labs and National Forest Service, within Mount Holyoke College GeoProcessing Lab. She was then employed as a consultant with UNESCAP. She holds an AB in Environmental Science from Mount Holyoke College and an MSc in Anthropology and Development from the London School of Economics.
Amanda Haworth-Wiklund, M.A. Hons, established an office for CDP in Stockholm last September to expand the CDP process into Scandinvia. Previously Amanda was Secretary General of Social Venture Network (SVN) Sweden, former Director of the Board of Social Venture Network Europe where for two years she was Chair, and has organised several international Social Venture Network conferences. She is also a Trustee of the Swedish ethical bank Ekobanken.
An experienced freelance journalist, Daniel Turner joined CDP in 2003. His role as Project Manager for CDP includes liaising with signatory investors and responding companies, working on the development and management of the CDP website and database and producing the CDP Reports and organising the launch events. He has a BSc in Sociology from City University, London.
Joanna runs communications and corporate relations at CDP. Previously she was a TV Producer working on Channel 4 News, BBC Money Programme, Panorama and a range of documentaries. Prior to that she worked as a journalist in Paris for 3 years, writing for The Independent and Agence France Presse.
Nigel worked for Lucas Industries for seven years as a manufacturing systems consultant, before moving into operations, and then General Management. Before joining CDP Nigel was on the board of a global automotive component manufacturing company, where he held the position of Group Supply Chain Director. Nigel has extensive international experience, working in Spain, USA, Germany, India and China and the UK at various times in his career. Nigel did his MSc at Schumacher College, where he studied climate science and the industrial response to global warming. He also has first hand experience of some aspects of climate change, having been a member of various scientific and mountaineering expeditions to the icecaps of Greenland, Iceland and Patagonia.
Roy qualified as an accountant in 1969, achieving honours in the Accounting Body examinations. His varied career has included Finance Directorships in the retail, food processing and recruitment sectors. Eleven years in advertising and marketing included four years as UK Chief Financial Officer for a major international group. He left to set up and run his own successful internet based warehousing and distribution business, which he has recently sold.
Sue has run CDP's global partnerships since 2005. Previously she worked for 20 years in the financial sector, the majority of this time spent with Rothchild Asset Management in the UK and Hong Kong. Sue headed a project at WWF advising on NGO engagement with business and industry and has also completed a Masters in Responsibility and Business Practice at Bath University.
Tim's background encompasses extensive experience both as an NHS strategic commissioner / funder of services and as an operational manager in a London teaching hospital. Prior to joining CDP he applied these development skills as Environment Programme Director for one of the largest charitable grantmakers in the UK. Tim has a particular interest in addressing environmental issues through applying industry based solutions and works with both CDP and the marine conservation organisation Oceana to this end.
Vicky is currently building our Supply Chain initiative working in both the Private and Public Sectors with the development of The Supply Chain Leadership Collaboration. As well as currently undertaking the bath MsC in Responsibility in Business Practice her specialist areas include marketing, business planning, corporate innovations projects and interactive/digital initiatives. Previously, Vicky has worked with Shell, Energis Interactive, EMAP and Reuters and held the post of Head of Digital Strategy at London advertising agency WCRS with clients such as Orange, Camelot, and KLM. She has also worked with incubator Brainspark, and provided brand and business strategy to top 5 High Street banks, Retailers and FMCG companies. Historically Vicky has been a columnist and awards Judge for the UK s New Media Age.
Zoe oversees the operation of CDP's work in the USA. Previously based in London, Zoe joined CDP full time in June 2004. Prior to joining CDP, Zoe was Business Coordinator for Japanese based corporation, Daimaru Incorporated, where she researched UK economic and retail trends for their Head Office in Japan. Previously, Zoe participated in a one-year contract with the Japanese Government's Japan Exchange & Teaching' program in Hiroshima after four years as Sales Manager at Money Marketing Magazine and at Rhinegold Publishing in London.
